Rawzone Basketball Club is celebrating a remarkable season after claiming the West Midlands Division 3 championship, capping off what has been an exceptional year for the Shropshire-based club.
Despite facing significant challenges with injuries throughout the season, our Senior Men’s team demonstrated incredible resilience and determination to finish at the top of Division 3. Their championship victory represents months of hard work, dedication, and the unwavering support of our coaching staff and volunteers.
The success didn’t stop there. Our U13 Junior team matched their senior counterparts’ achievement by claiming the number one spot in their YBL League, showcasing the depth of talent and commitment across all age groups at Rawzone Basketball Club.
Adding to the celebration, several of our junior players have been selected for the prestigious Basketball England Aspire Camp. Congratulations to E. Adams, J. Palmer-Green, A. Dhami, M. Haruna, E. Sealy, and R. Dhinsa on this outstanding achievement. This recognition highlights the quality of development and coaching available at our club.
Rawzone Basketball Club has established itself as the dominant basketball force in Shropshire, inspiring players of all ages and actively supporting our local community. We work closely with schools, participate in community events, and regularly organise fundraising activities that benefit the wider area.
As we prepare for the upcoming season, our focus turns to defending our league status and building on this year’s success. Our teams span from U11 girls and boys right up to senior age groups, ensuring pathways for development at every level.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our players, coaching staff, volunteers, and support crews who made this achievement possible. Special recognition goes to Coach LG and the entire team for their dedication throughout the season.
The celebrations continue as our Division 3 winners will be supporting Armed Forces Day on June 29th at Donnington Park, demonstrating our club’s commitment to serving and honoring our community.
