Our Rawzone Basketball youth teams had the incredible opportunity to witness British basketball history yesterday at the 2025 Super League Basketball Trophy Finals. The electric atmosphere at the Utilita Arena Birmingham, packed with over 9,000 passionate fans, provided our young players with an unforgettable experience of elite basketball at its finest.

The day was filled with inspiration as our youth teams watched two thrilling championship matches. In the men’s final, they saw the legendary Newcastle Eagles, the most decorated team in British basketball, face off against the Bristol Flyers who were hunting for their first piece of silverware. The intensity and skill on display gave our young players a masterclass in high-level basketball competition.

The women’s final between Oaklands Wolves and Caledonia Gladiators was equally captivating, as both teams fought to make history by claiming their first major trophy. For our young athletes, particularly our girls’ teams, watching these talented women compete at the highest level of British basketball was truly motivational.

Between games, our youth players were treated to spectacular entertainment, including an incredible Slam Dunk Contest that had them on their feet cheering. The energy in the arena was infectious, with mascots, dancers, and MCs keeping the excitement levels high throughout the day.

This experience went beyond just watching basketball – it gave our young players a glimpse of what they can aspire to achieve. Seeing both established powerhouses and teams reaching for their first trophy showed our youth that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible in this sport.
